Comments:

- The Winner of last World Championship - the current World Champion - can go directly to the A-final
without having to join the National or International Qualification tournaments.

- National Places for last WC means that the Seats belong to the nations whose players got those places in last WC

- Organizing Country Seat - it is given to Organizing Country if that country has failed to get any National or Personal Places
from previous WC, nor any place from QT.

- Cancellations - if Winner of last WC, cancel his/her participation - the personal place is changed to a national place.
if any country owning National Places, cancel their participation - the seat(s) is added to the QT seats group.

THE INTERNATIONAL RENJU QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT (RQT) by RIF

This is a tournament that is played in Swiss system with as many players as the limitations allow.
The best players of the RQT will get the seats in A-final. The number of the best RQT players who get the Seats in A-final depends on
the situation of A-final Seats. Usually there are 5 seats given to the best QT players. However, the number may be 4 or greater than 5 in
some cases (see the explanations above). The RQT is played a few days before the beginning of A-final, usually in the same location as A-final.

Below are the rules that explain who have the right to play in RQT.
- Each RIF member country gets 3 National Places in RQT, but if the country already has some National Places in A-final,
the number of QT seats is reduced according to the amount of National Places of A-final. For example, if a member country has 2 National Places
in A-final, then the country will only have 1 National Place in QT.

- Each non RIF member country gets 1 National Place in RQT, unless the country already has a National Place in A-final.

- All players from previous RAT have personal places in RQT.

- The three best players of the last Open Tournament (RBT 2009) will have Personal Places in RQT.

- The top 20 players on RIF official Renju rating list by May 15 2011, among players who have played at least 10 rated games since one year back, have Personal places.

- In case of odd number of RQT players, the organizing country will add 1 more player to RQT, to make it even.

THE INTERNATIONAL GOMOKU QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT 2011 (GQT) by RIF

This tournament will be played in Swiss system with as many players as the limitations allow.
GQT 2011 is an OPEN tournament, where any Gomoku player may attend!
The 6 best GQT players are ensured to get place in the A-final.
However, the number may be 7 if the organizing country (Sweden) gets one of the 6 first places in GQT.
Also, if cancellations would occur from nations who have national places in the A-final, those seats are added to the QT seats group.

THE INTERNATIONAL OPEN GOMOKU & RENJU TOURNAMENTS (GBT and RBT) by RIF

The International Gomoku and Renju open tournaments are played in Swiss System, at the same time as the A-final.
This tournament offers no titles, however, there is a benefit for top 3 of the tournaments: The top 3 players will earn Personal Places
for the next International Qualification Tournaments (GQT and RQT) 2013. Anyone has a right to play in GBT and RBT without any limits.
No matter if the player is old or young, beginner or strong player - all are welcome!

THE FINALS OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AMONG WOMEN (RWT) by RIF

RWT is a round robin tournament among women. In the case of more then 12 players - Swiss system will be used.
The winner of the tournament will get the title of World Champion.

Who can take part:

- The Winner of last World Championship 2009 - Yulia Savrasova, Russia - may go directly to the final without having to join the National or International Qualification tournaments.

- National Places - They are seats given to a Nation, not to a player particularly. Each RIF member country gets 5 National Places in RWT, each non RIF member country gets 3 National Places in RWT.

THE OPEN INTERNATIONAL BLITZ TOURNAMENTS

Anyone has a right to play in any of the Blitz tournaments arranged during WC. No limits. No matter if the player is old or young, beginner or strong player - all are welcome!
