Ants Soosõrv is a great renju player and a teacher. His player career started in 1987 in Tallinn. Very soon, he reached to high level tournaments.

In 1993, he participated in the World Championship for the first time and got the 6th place there. In the World Championships of 1997 and 1999 he got 5th place.

In the European Championships he got the 2nd place in 2000, 3rd places in 1998 and 2006.

Also, as a member of Estonian team, he has 1 gold medal and 4 silver medals from Team World Championships. Ants is a Team World Champion of 2008!

In addition to being a player and a teacher, he is also the leader of Estonian Renju Union and the organizer of all the renju events in Estonia.

At present he is also the General Secretary in the Central Committee of the Renju International Federation. He is the editor of www.renju.ee site and the Renju World magazine.
